Dirigibles and Records: The Story of Yambol Regional History Museum, Yambol Conference and exhibition Yambol, Bulgaria (Oct. 2024) In October 2024, the multimedia exhibition “The World of Airships” was inaugurated in Yambol, Bulgaria, offering a captivating journey through the history and evolution of these extraordinary giants of the sky. Curated by Max Pinucci and produced by MBVision in collaboration with Hun in the Sun, the exhibition will remain open until the end of February before continuing its tour to Sofia, Spain, France, and Italy. The inauguration attracted significant attention, with the participation of the Museums of Regional and National History, the America for Bulgaria Foundation, and the Bulgarian Air Force. The choice of Yambol as the starting point for the exhibition was particularly symbolic, as it was the site of a legendary aviation record: the Zeppelin L59 completed a non-stop flight of nearly 6,800 km, from Yambol to Khartoum, Sudan, a record that remained unbroken for an impressive forty years. The exhibition offered an extraordinary overview, featuring artistic panels, both printed and digital historical photographs, memorabilia related to the history of airships, and immersive projections that narrated the myth of these sky giants. Additionally, various editions of the book Airships were on display, offering a detailed account of the story of these iconic aircraft, further enhancing the experience for the attending public.
