Dirigibles and Records: The Story of Yambol Regional History Museum, Yambol Conference and exhibition Yambol, Bulgaria (Oct. 2024) In October 2024, the multimedia exhibition “The World of Airships” was inaugurated in Yambol, Bulgaria, offering a captivating journey through the history and evolution of these extraordinary giants of the sky. Curated by Max Pinucci and produced by MBVision in collaboration with Hun in the Sun, the exhibition will remain open until the end of February before continuing its tour to Sofia, Spain, France, and Italy. The inauguration attracted significant attention, with the participation of the Museums of Regional and National History, the America for Bulgaria Foundation, and the Bulgarian Air Force. The choice of Yambol as the starting point for the exhibition was particularly symbolic, as it was the site of a legendary aviation record: the Zeppelin L59 completed a non-stop flight of nearly 6,800 km, from Yambol to Khartoum, Sudan, a record that remained unbroken for an impressive forty years. The exhibition offered an extraordinary overview, featuring artistic panels, both printed and digital historical photographs, memorabilia related to the history of airships, and immersive projections that narrated the myth of these sky giants. Additionally, various editions of the book Airships were on display, offering a detailed account of the story of these iconic aircraft, further enhancing the experience for the attending public. Hydroracers: The Sky Challenge Venice Nicelli Airport conference  Lido di Venezia, Venezia, Italy (Sept. 2023) At the Nicelli Airport on the picturesque Lido of Venice, an event was held to celebrate Hydroracers: The Schneider Trophy Epic, a cultural project honoring the historic aviation competition. Organized by MBVision in collaboration with Nicelli Airport, the gathering attracted an enthusiastic and knowledgeable audience, including industry experts, pilots, operators, and aviation enthusiasts. The presentation of the book, co-published by the Italian Air Force and Hun in the Sun, featured speeches by prominent figures such as Gen. Basilio Di Martino, Col. Rosario D’Auria, Col. Chiadroni, Nicelli Airport Director Giacomo Zamprogno, Prof. Antonio Ventre, and George Alafinov, alongside Max Pinucci, the project’s creator. The event provided a unique opportunity to revisit the epic tale of the Schneider Trophy through a blend of visual and historical storytelling. Centenary of the Italian Air Force

100 Years of Italian Aeronautics Centenary of the Italian Air Force Exposition Ex Cavallerizza, Lucca, Italy (Settembre. 2023) On Friday, September 1, 2023, at 5:00 PM, the evocative Ex Cavallerizza in Piazzale Verdi, Lucca, hosted the inauguration of the celebratory exhibition for the Centenary of the Italian Air Force. The event, part of a broad calendar of national initiatives launched in Rome on March 28 and spanning twenty Italian cities, paid tribute to the extraordinary history of aviation with a focus on the protagonists and locations tied to the Lucca area. The exhibition featured valuable artifacts from the Museo del Risorgimento collection, such as the flight suit and overpants of the renowned Atlantic aviator Carlo Del Prete, and a book with a handwritten dedication by Gabriele D’Annunzio to “Gioioso di gioia” Giovanbattista Pittaluga. Alongside these artifacts, twelve panels narrated the local history of aviation, featuring legendary pilots like Carlo Del Prete and Uberto Bonetti, an aerofuturist painter, as well as iconic locations such as the Tassignano airport and the Torre del Lago seaplane base. Hun in the Sun contributed to the event with the interior setup and the creation of video projections that brought the Ex Cavallerizza spaces to life, immersing visitors in the history and beauty of aviation. RAV: From History to the Future RAV, High Speed Department Conference Desenzano del Garda, Italy (May 2023)   In the iconic historic hangars of the RAV (Reparto Alta Velocità) in Desenzano del Garda, the epicenter of Italy’s high-speed seaplane achievements, we had the honor of presenting Hydroracers: The Schneider Trophy Epic, the latest project by Hun in the Sun. The event celebrated the seaplane racing saga through a journey bridging past and present, showcasing the illustrated book, the board game inspired by the trophy, and the brand-new S.55: Wings Over the Atlantic, created in collaboration with renowned game designer Andrea Angiolino. His speech, based on the book Airships, delved into the historical evolution of airships, highlighting their technological and cultural significance. During his stay in Stockholm, Pinucci also participated in meetings with Almi Innovation and the Stockholm University of the Arts, strengthening the connection between research, art, and innovation. Airships in Tuscany: Stories and Visions PALP Museum Conference, Exhibition Pontedera, Italy (April 2023)   On Saturday, April 29, 2023, the PALP Museum in Pontedera hosted an event dedicated to airships, the protagonists of aviation history and their extraordinary epic, with a special focus on their connection to Tuscany. Organized by Hun in the Sun, the event featured experts such as Michele Quirici, Paolo Gori, Antonio Ventre, and Max Pinucci, author of the book Airships: Designed for Greatness, the Illustrated History.   The day was a journey through stories and images, with a focus on the historical presence of airships in Tuscany, including the legendary hangar in Pontedera, which hosted airships such as the Norge and the Esperia. Marking the centenary of the 4th edition of the trophy, the project was unveiled in an extraordinary setting—an aircraft hangar still housing historic seaplanes that once competed in this legendary race.   Hydroracers is an ambitious international project paying tribute to the epic era of seaplanes, born from the collaboration between Hun in the Sun, the Italian Air Force, Platypus Games, and other industry experts. The project encompasses a high-value editorial book retracing the history of the Schneider Trophy, a board game, 1:144 scale models of racing seaplanes, and a multimedia exhibition. The exhibition immerses participants in the golden age of aviation through historical images, videos, and cutting-edge immersive technologies, celebrating the innovation and daring spirit of this iconic competition.   The event featured contributions from prominent figures in the aviation world, including General Giovanni F. Pontedera and the Giants of Heaven Piaggio Museum Airships in Pontedera Exhibition Pontedera, Italy (Nov. 2018) On November 24, 2018, the Piaggio Museum in Pontedera hosted the presentation of the book Airships | Dirigibili: 100 Years of Airships, An Illustrated History, curated by Max Pinucci and organized by Hun in the Sun. The event offered attendees the opportunity to explore an exhibition of the original illustrations from the book, a visual narrative that celebrates the evolution of airships, from their origins to the present day. The illustrations, accompanied by historical photographs, infographics, and models, explored the technology, design, and cultural impact of airships. A particular focus was given to the local history of Pontedera, with an in-depth look at the hangar that, from 1916 to 1939, hosted significant airships such as the SCA N-1 (Norge) and the Esperia (formerly LZ120 Bodensee). During the presentation, Michele Quirici and Paolo Gori contributed with historical insights into the role of the Pontedera area in the evolution of aeronautical technology. I Transatlantici del cielo ExhibitionTrieste, Italy (May. 2018) Until September 23, 2018, the prestigious AIM Alinari Image Museum in Trieste hosted the extraordinary exhibition “Dirigibili – Airships. The Transatlantic Ships of the Sky”, a unique project promoted by Fratelli Alinari – Foundation for the History of Photography, Hun in the Sun, and MBVision. The exhibition, curated by Max Pinucci, was based on his acclaimed book Airships | Dirigibili, enriched with an introduction by Bruce Dickinson, the famous frontman of Iron Maiden and aviation enthusiast.   Set up in the evocative halls of the Bastione Fiorito at the Castello di San Giusto, the exhibition evoked the epic story of the airships, the giants of the sky that, long before the advent of the airplane, made the human dream of traveling among the clouds possible. Hun in the Sun, along with Pinucci’s team, contributed to making the exhibition an immersive and multidimensional experience, thanks to an exhibition path that combined art, technology, and history. The exhibition included: Vintage photographs from the Alinari archives and prestigious international institutions such as the Library of Congress, the National Library of Norway, and the Naval History and Heritage Command. Original plates and illustrations from the book “Airships | Dirigibili,” presented in large format with extraordinary details. Scale models, from the smallest (1:720) to the largest (1:200), displayed in 3D dioramas to represent the aircraft in action. Authentic memorabilia, such as instruments, clothing, photo albums, and vintage stamps. A highlight of the exhibition was the rich multimedia journey, which allowed visitors to explore the internal structures of the airships through 360° immersive headsets and delve into the historical charm through: Vintage stereoscopes and holographic films. Digital reconstructions of the passenger rooms of the legendary LZ 129 Hindenburg, the largest airship ever built. 3D cinema, to relive the historical and technical feats of airships. The exhibition was a unique journey through technology, design, and history, aimed at celebrating airships not only as extraordinary technical achievements but also as symbols of the human dream to conquer the skies.
